With over four decades of experience, Hisham Eldib is the driving force behind Eldib Advocates, leading the firm as Managing Partner since 1996. Having earned his LL.B. in 1983, he joined the firm immediately upon graduation, embarking on a distinguished legal career spanning maritime, corporate, and commercial law.

A recognized authority in shipping and admiralty law, Hisham has led the firm's maritime team through some of the most high-profile cases in Egypt’s legal history. His expertise covers emergency response for oil pollution incidents (M/T Abul Kalam Azad, M/T Grigoroussa 1), hull damage claims (M/V Lanai, M/V Costa Europa), and FFO (Fixed and Floating Object) damages (M/V Sarah Degagnés, Lyra Leader). He was also instrumental in handling legal matters surrounding the Ever Given incident, one of the most notorious shipping blockages in modern history, solidifying his status as a leading expert in maritime crisis management. His deep understanding of customs, cargo disputes, insurance claims, and bunker disputes has cemented his reputation as a leading expert in maritime law.
