Lamia joined Eldib Advocates in 2015 after obtaining her Bachelors in Law from both the Sorbonne University, Panthéon- Paris 1 and the Faculty of Law, Alexandria University. She completed her Masters 1 Degree “Maitrise” from the Sorbonne University, Panthéon Paris 1 – and she was selected among the students of the Master in the International and European Business Law, which offers her a remarkable opportunity in furthering her knowledge in international Law and anti-trust Law, and increases her ability to work in various areas of law.

Lamia followed her interest in the Maritime field and chose to write her master’s thesis on “the responsibility of the carrier under both the Egyptian law and the international conventions” which expanded her understanding in both national and international law and provided her with the necessary knowledge to start her career

In August 2016 Lamia completed a certificate in Commercial Risks in Shipping with the Lloyds Institute Academy, which expanded her specialization to encompass different areas of shipping and commercial litigation from charter-party, ship financing commercial risks relating to environmental, safety management issues and marine insurance.

Since last year, on joining Eldib, Lamia has been mixing education, which she is still pursuing with practical work at our firm. Ever since she became one of the young members of our office she has proven to become an important asset to our office, always aspiring for new approaches in handling claims and applying actual problems encountered in our firm with her ongoing studies. In Lamia’s latest paper, she presented an explanation of the arbitration regulations applicable in Egypt in the maritime field and their conjunction with the Hamburg Rules.
